At least it gives math a little much needed public exposure, which can't be bad.

Seems funny how I can know exactly the length of a diameter of a circle, but can't for the circumference, and vice versa.

There's an old, old Ziggy cartoon with him taking a number from a reel and the number is sqrt(-1) -- imaginary. I searched but could not find it. On the plus side, though Tom Wilson passed away in 2011, I see his son (Tom Jr.) is still producing the strip. :)

Funny how an imaginary number can be useful in electrical engineering at all. Hooda thunk?
