They look amazing but the price is €70,000 so out of my reach unfortunately.
You're probably right. I just think it's a pity that a company that made the Model 2404 is now selling these as Flagshipi'm willing to bet you'd get 75-80% of the experience/quality for 1/35th of the price (i.e. 2,86%) by getting a nice pair of used Pioneer S-2EX
i was thinking of replacing my R7s with a pair of S-1EX, but i was too slow :/
2404 was a professional speaker for recording studio though. Just look,at the rear. Apples to Oranges…You're probably right. I just think it's a pity that a company that made the Model 2404 is now selling these as Flagship![]()
Yes, but I would actually be happy owning one. A lot of folks here use studio monitors in their home.2404 was a professional speaker for recording studio though. Just look,at the rear. Apples to Oranges…

Vandersteen, for one. That recent review was scary. What brands?
I heard TAD Reference R1 at a friend's house a long time ago. They sounded excellent and looked gorgeous.Never had the opportunity to listen to higher end TAD speakers.
Are they really that good to justify price?
I mean would your jaw drop compared to say Neuman KH310 and subs?
Probably not. But they might be awesome. Are they really that good to justify price?
Or Genelec 8361The kali in 8 would be a very intresting a/b blind listen with these
I'm not sure if your dog will thank you, or not.It goes all the way up to 100,000 hz….So you could say that this little baby goes Five times higher than most. Certainly worth the extra cheddar.![]()
