Hello all,

Just saw that JBL has added a 6.5'' version to the LSR MkII line. http://www.jblpro.com/www/products/recording-broadcast/3-series-mkii/306p-mkii

Fits nicely between the 5 and 8 inch versions - hopefully better bass reproduction than the 5'', but works better for smaller rooms than the 8'' - maybe better integration between the drivers as well? I really dislike this new shiny finish in the front baffle, saw it at Guitar Center and it looks really cheap IMHO. Wish they would make matte finishes and white as well.

Here is a basic review on Digital Trends: https://www.digitaltrends.com/speaker-subwoofer-reviews/jbl-306p-mkii-review/

That one has me curious as well.
Its crossover frequency is lower than the other two (1425Hz vs 1725Hz for the 305 and 1800Hz for the 308).

I don't like the shiny finish either.

In the previous version they made white ones, and red ones. Why did they make red ones? Beats me, but every so often the red ones were really cheap on close out.

Yeh! Especially given it’s a 6” woofer. So many speakers have the woofer/tweeter directivity mismatch the other way around.
