Loxjie A40 all in one amp 2024

Somehow my system already have XMOS USB DAC driver version 5.68.0 installed.
Those manufacturer drivers often contain parameterized configurations specific to the DAC, like extra sample rates. Maybe with that driver it will unlock the additional sample rates.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. As alway for a consumer. Alway love to max out to what the item can do.

Just curious also why am i unable to output at 768khz with regard if i have or dun have any source material in 768khz.

Hope can be enable if possible or what setting need to be done?

Thank you.

Assuming for a second that there is some meaningful difference for the listener between 384kHz or 768kHz: Unless your source material has the highest sample rate, getting 768kHz between windows and DAC means upsampling in windows before sending to USB. I really don't know much about this, but it seems CA43131 only supports 384 kHz, so if the Loxjie accepts higher input, the source is downsampled again before being sent to the DAC-chip.

Regarding the issue of the delay when connecting via usb.. there are two drivers from loxjie-audio (looks the same driver but updated):
A40 驱动下载 ---- 2023-11-16 ---- XMOS_USBAudio_v5.50.0_2022-09-08_setup.exe
A40 Driver ---- 2023-11-16 ---- LOXJIE_USBAudio_v5.58.exe

Which one have you installed? does it matter which one you install?
Hi guys
I plan to buy the A40 but I believed it was drivers free like the A30, is it not the case on A40 ?
the A30 doesn't need any drivers when u connect it to PC with USB (at least on win 10/11)

I don't use Windows any more. I didn't have to do anything for Linux, Android or ChromeOS. They were all plug and play.

The LFE input is typically used with home theatre systems, which the Loxjie isn't.
So I would start with "sub" mode.
But honestly, both will work, just stay with what sounds best to your trusted ears.

Thanks for the fast reply.

I recently purchased a Speedwoofer 10E that I intend to use with my A40. Does anyone know what the low frequency cut off for the A40's sub output is? Or is it sending full range through that port?

Hello, anyone that owns this A40 noticed some drop of 'power'?
I have it connected to a TV and never had to bump the volume past 18, now I've been listening to it at 25+ .

Hello,
I am rather new to these sorts of things, so please excuse my ignorance. I want to connect Loxjie A40 to a pair of speakers and a subwoofer. Will A40 offload low frequencies from the main speakers and send them to the sub? I read the manual and it looks like A40 doesn't have any settings for a low pass filter or a high pass filter. I think those are the terms to use for those things. And if those settings are not available the best course of actions would be to get a calibrated microphone and use REW software to get a decent result?

The A40 will send low frequencies to both the sub and the main speakers. I have this setup and it mostly works fine. If your sub has speaker wire inputs and outputs then you can stop the low frequencies from reaching your pair of speakers by wiring up everything via the sub. I adjusted the sub volume and crossover by hand, but REW will likely do a better job, if you want to go the effort.

I know this is an old question, but I was wondering this as well. I was able to find this graph on Loxjie's product site on aliexpress:

Unfortunately there is no other info about A40's low pass in the manual or on Loxjie's main site.

The closest answer I found was a post on another forum that said it was "fixed at about 120hz".

That seemed pretty inline with what I was experiencing when I plugged the subwoofer in as I had to use the sub's crossover adjustment to bring it down to around 80-90hz or so.

It all wound up being moot though as I got a Wiim Ultra on sale from Amazon during the holidays and switched to that.
