How do I actually properly connect this. I currently use an RME ADI-2 Pro (analog xlr out) -> sub -> speakers. The KH 750 DSP manual states that in conjunction with the KH 120 II the input is passed through without bass management (i.e., sub plays what it can and speakers play what they can). But the sub has no way of knowing that I connected KH 120 II to it and there does not seem to be a reasonable way to set it in the neumann MA-1 app. Should I just use an analogue splitter cable for each channel and then set it up like this: RME -> KH 120 II + KH 750 so nothing is routed through the sub? If I enable bass management on the sub with the current config it works but there is a 80 HZ HPF applied even though the KH 120 II are capable of resolving lower than this and I guess I lose some of the stereo image (I only have one sub). Also I set the speakers and sub to 94 /-12 (output level/input gain, sub) and 94 /-15 (speakers) respectively. Is this correct?

There is no such thing as stereo separation at 80 Hz in rooms anyway. And the reason for the HPF is quite simple:

Yes, they will play lower than 80 Hz, but level handling down there quickly goes south. It's still very good performance for a speaker this size, but the setup with the sub will go substantially louder.

With everything in phase, I would normally expect to have to dial in a 6 dB difference, not just 3. If in doubt, take some measurements, you won't get around that anyway.
