Issue with Topping D90LE firmware (fixed)

So... I was installing the drivers for my D90LE when I decided to update the firmware, only realizing too late that the update is for the D90SE .

Searching the Topping site (and the net) I can't find any versions of the D90LE firmware.

Before I contact my Topping reseller I was wondering if anyone has ideas how I could fix the issue myself.

I contacted Topping directly and they sent me the LE firmware.
Now, back to enjoying my D90 + A90 combo.

Either wait until Topping release a firmware update for the LE and use the SE firmware in the meantime (it'll be fine probably), or contact support and ask them to send you the stock LE firmware to revert back to.

That was the problem, the SE firmware was not OK and I was getting a firmware error; but I did contact Topping directly and they sent me the LE firmware, it seems fine now.

Yup, I was allured by the additional functionality, including the tube sound... Lesson learned.

It should just check hardware and not install...

That's why I wasn't more careful; I expected it would give an error if I tried to update the the wrong model, as has happened with a DAC from another brand I own.

Bro im in this same exact predicament, accidently downloaded SE version, topping sent me LE firmware. My Dac when powered on says "incorrect firmware vers" it is recognized by pc, when i try to install the new (correct) firmware I get "TUSBAUDIO_GetDfuStatus: Function failed with error code 0xEF000004."

Did yours just download correctly the first time?

The first time, yes.

But I tried installing it another time and the computer didn't even detect the DAC.

Also, when I unplug the power chord and plug it in again the DAC gives a "wrong firmware version" error for a while (hours or days, I still don't know) and then starts working again.

Got the same problem with my D90SE. To restore you need to enter DFU mode: In standby mode, press and hold the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons on the front panel simultaneously until the screen displays "DFU MODE", then just re-flash right firmware using Topping DFU Upgrade app.

Has anyone downloaded the firmware update for Topping D90SE and have any of the additional functionalities been worth it? What are those functionalities in addition to the "tube sound?" I'm holding off on this to see where the dust settles. Also, and I hope I'm not digressing too much: has anyone with a MacOs downloaded Mac Ventura, and, if so, have there been any issues?
