Swap the 3s and 7s over, your wife will never notice .I actually like them. I did some room correction the built-in EQ function.

Can use the above with ARC to correct for room with Audyssey

If it's room correction you're after. Seems a lot more flexible than just the built in DSP you get with the RME.
Does anyone have any information if there will be a new version of the DAC soon?
This is confusing for me. I thought that the RME ADI-2DAC was a stripped down version of the Pro? So is it a replacement of the ADI2-DAC then? Or am I missing something. Also thanks for answering. Or do you have a site where you have read about it?The RME? There is a stripped down version of the Pro coming out, without the bells and whistles, but with the prise the DAC is already getting I doubt they'll mess with it for a while. RME is known to keep their products in the pipeline for a long time.
Maybe something like this https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/lo...audio-unit-plugins-on-your-macs-system-output
There are certainly several amazing AU EQ plugins that will match, and outperform the integrated DSP on the RME. I love the RME, but the DX7s is a great sounding DAC, and I doubt you'll get much improvement in the long run.
Looks like it's EOL, but I'm sure there's something similar you can dig up.
EDIT - https://rogueamoeba.com/soundsource/ - This looks like it will work and then some. In fact, it looks pretty awesome. Should be included functionality in MacOS IMO. Gonna get it myself.
let me try the soundsource out! it looks promising!
It does just what it should. Can put any plugin(s) on any output device. Can even specify to use them only on certain software outputs, but not the global bus. Pretty awesome, and a perfect sub for your original requirement of a master EQ with your existing interface.
This one has no USB interface.https://www.rme-audio.de/adi-2.html
Stripped down pro. DAC isn't changing anytime soon. No real performance advantage to be had yet.
Well...Thread participants discussing the "RME ADI-2", are you referring to the new "RME ADI-2 Pro FS", or are you actually referring to the much older and now out of production "RME ADI-2" which has much poorer s/n performance in manufacturer's specs?

Mostly because there is no need for upgrade.RME is known to keep their products in the pipeline for a long time.
