Hi all,

I took the plunge and ordered the MA1 mic from Neumann to finally room correct my KH 120 ii today. This is the result of the correction:

As you can see, the difference in the bass is quite extensive. :)

I’m wondering whether I should further tweak this curve using the EQ in the Neumann software or leave it as is. I’m not entirely sure what is considered ‘good’ in terms of Hi-Fi—could this curve be very neutral and more suited for studio work?

Thanks,
Andreas

1) Why repost the same question in different threads?
2) You will not get any better in-room response with EQ. Add room treatment to control reflections and reverb and the KH 750 DSP to fill in the lowest octave.

That is not unusual. Welcome to real rooms. Things look quite comby down there, what are the speaker to wall distances like?

The part that strikes me as a bit unusual is the peaking around 500 Hz. Do you have them on a desk or console or something?

The final response around 40 Hz (37-45 Hz) is arguably a bit stingy considering how much boost you get from the room in this area. I'd try maybe 2 dB more there.
