Well a Google search tells me the reverse is the case - vintage equipment in the U.S. typically used the pin 3 "hot" and pin 2 "cold" convention ...
but all of this pre-dates my initial training in broadcast in Australia way back in 1981!
Regardless, the Gustard X16 and LOXJIE P20 have build dates much newer than 1981, and they absolutely should have pin 2 hot.
I have a similar X16 DOA problem - I'm in the UK and set it to 220V before plugging in - nothing. Checked the fuse was seated and re-tried but still nothing, so checked the 250v 500mA fuse and it was blown. I also then checked the spare provided, before trying it, and that too was already blown... hmm.
So I contacted Shenzhen Audio - they are being helpful and have suggested trying a 1A fuse - which I am now waiting for - a pack due to arrive today. Let's see if that works.
FWIW, Tidal via Node 2i via coax to X16 then analog to prepro, works perfect and sounds great. Very happy with the sound from the X16.
Great transaction from APOS.

according to Amir's review.
SMSL Su 9 still there but 90% reduced.
Gustard is there but looks doesn't say if was reduced or not.
I've created a post because I am also checking difference https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/gustard-x16-vs-smsl-su-9.21727/
any owner of the gustard x16 that wants to add something will be more than welcome
Hola. Buenas noches desde España. Recibi mi gustard X-16 hace una semana. Y hoy he podido conectarlo a mi equipo de audio. Saludos y gracias
Got mine in yesterday. Bought it from a fella in Georgia on USAudioMart. The unit was in mint condition - not a fingerprint on it (he also included alcohol wipes for COVID-19 precautions). I'm double vac'd so there's that.... So back to the dac, it's heavy for a DAC and well put together. There's no need for me to go over the science because that's already been done . So the only thing I can talk about is what my flawed, aging ears heard. To me....YMMV the sound was very analytical and detailed....clean is another word that I would use to describe it. Extremely clean. My speakers image very well (Infinity P-FR's) and have a wide soundstage, however the center stage seems to be even more in focus with the Gustard. I didn't have time for a full session with them (as my wife was making cakes - you don't want a cake to fall), but she even enjoyed it. When I turned it off, she told me to bring the music back. I'm going to sit down this weekend with my subjective ears and really see what this sounds like to this man in this stage of his life. That's really something to think about eh?
The system consist of a 20TB server containing DSD, Flac, and Wav files, i7 7700k Win 10 with JRiver 27, Gustard X16, Marantz AV7706, and a McIntosh MC8207. I had no issues with Windows 10 whatsoever...played flawlessly (to be up front I only use Wasapi or ASIO drivers...in this case Wasapi 2.0 drivers for the Gustard).

Is anyone else using their X16 with a Chromecast Audio?
It works fine for casting streams, but the X16 display doesn't switch off and continues to show UNLOCK even once the casting has stopped. The only way seems to be to change inputs.
Does anyone also see this or know how to fix it? I have the display at Auto off in the Menu.
