Gustard x16 as preamp?

Hi all experts!

I have a Gustard x16 and am thinking of buying a pair of Fosi v3 monos, but I need a preamp, will my x16 be sufficient or do I need to also calculate the cost of buying a dedicated preamp?
 
Your Gustard will be sufficient.

If however you don't trust digital volume controls, then there are inexpensive, passive analog attenuators like the Behringer Monitor1.
