Yes, think ahead, think smart...a conduit where you can easily replace your HDMI cable by the newest and latest and bestest version...2.1

And when 2020 comes, you'll be ready to switch easily for HDMI 2.2 - with 12K, 16K, 96Gbps.

And save your money today for future SSPs and AV receivers and 8K OLED TVs and 8K Blu-ray players and ... you know the lyrics of that song.
We love living fast and with the times they are a changin'.

Of course, if you want to keep up with the latest up-to-the-minute video/audio processor chips. The ones existing right now are mainly obsolete; only few will be able to get an HDMI version 2.1 upgrade, from our receivers, surround sound processors, TVs, BR players. You need chips with a lot of processing power, and most simply don't have the guts.

This is a great time to be an audio/video manufacturer, and tomorrow workers will be all elimated too, alienated, discarded, expendable assets, replaced by AI, robots.

We are becoming our own slaves from our own technological advancements.
Soon we'll be making the beds for our robots...and put their shoes on in the morning.
