It can be anything between heaven and earth when it comes to music and hifi. Something, which you this year, acquired that you are really happy with.
For example: A pair of speakers, a new smart software, a really nice listening chair, an unusual vinyl record and so on.
Personally, I like my bargain, an old classic amplifier NAD 3020. A little racer, a fun piece of audio candy. I have it as part of my secondary system.Given the low power, of course, sensitive speakers are needed. Even then, the power may not be enough to have as an amplifier in the main system (probably also depends on the type of music, signal in which it is fed).
Nowadays, well, the melody of the times is speakers (with low, well not all) distortion and low sensibility paired with enough power. It's a sensible development, I think. NAD 3020, from a bygone era. However, it can be recommended with the mentioned reservations. Mostly because it's about hifi history. So now I will not waffle more about NAD 3020.
Edit:
I thought they could be fun to share experiences and then maybe you get some idea in return.
Edit 2
A soldering station, which, uh, really not much more to say than that I found it at a good price at an electronics store. Perhaps a little far-fetched, from a sound point of view. Have mostly just soldered banana plugs. Will try to build a small DIY OP amp based pre amp in the future, mostly for fun.
