Full range floorstanders ~$4000 budget

9. ELAC VELA FS409 >> @$3700
17. KEF R11 >> @$2200
... each.

For the European market I'd add some bigger models from noteworthy brands such as
- Canton Reference 3.2 DC
- Heco Celan Revolution 9
- Arendal 1723 Tower THX
... and probably many more.

I always look at used market, often great deals. I bought Paradigm Studio 100 V5 pair for $2,500 CAD about 6 yrs ago and am delighted with those.

It's shite-y of crutchfield to post prices for some speakers @Each and others @Pair!
My bad!

Yarp... those B&W's prices are also for "each" . :(

But the
704 S3 = $1999/ea
703 S2 = $1499/ea

An "outlet" 702 S2 for $1623/ea...

My first thoughts of Philharmonic BMR Tower and Ascend Sierra Towers have been mentioned....might add the JBL HDI 3800.

They're not really available anymore, but the Heco Direkt Dreiklang used to be around 4000€ and are true full-range floorstanders.
Little bit on the bulky side though.
As a fan of pointlessly large speakers, I like those, in particular in black:

But were they ever 4000€ a pair? Because I'm seeing some in stock locally for ~3700€ for a single one, discounted from ~4600€, so it seems like they're about twice the price, unless there were deep dealer discounts or we're talking used prices.

Paradigm Founder 80F is listed as $4,000 for a pair.

Has anyone heard these speakers?
Specs read well, design seems robust and the brand has loyalty.
The finish supposed to be 'gorgeous' but that means its beauty is included in the price.
I've heard them, the 100s, and really liked what I heard, very good sound. I listened to them at the same time I heard the Monitor Audio Silver 500 7Gs and thought the Founders were better but of course more expensive.

That cover on the midrange is really odd, hard to believe it doesn't affect the sound adversely. I mean, it's possible, but hard to believe.

The cover does affect the sound, intentionally. The same is used on the tweeter and they call it Phase-Aligning (PPA) lens. You can read about it on their website.

The revel F208 is coming in around that level now. Hard to pass up - it measured slightly better than the F228be.

At the same price I would go with the Revels, even though I haven't heard them.
I have the F228be. Very happy.

Full disclosure, I listened to the Paradigm Persona 3F and found it excruciating. I tend to like KEF, Harbeth, and now Revel.
