Frequency Response Test Records

How many uses are people getting out of the STR-100. Is it a myth that they only have so many spins?
There are differences of opinion. I worked in a studio complex with a large number of turntables that needed calibrating regularly. In my and my colleagues' experience, the high frequency tracks were the ones that degraded quite quickly. Comparing a relatively well used test disc with a new disc showed 10kHz and above a few dB down.

Is anyone familiar with the Cardas Frequency Sweep record? I grabbed one for $40 to see if it was any good

I have it Sorry but it is crap. The sweep is a joke , it can tell you if you have sound in both channels and wired correctly

Now I have 3 Clearaudio CA -TRS-1007 Frequency sweep test records.
1: a few years old used heavily
2: <10 runs
3: First run

all recordings doen within the same hour
Not much difference, maybe no 1 has s higher top end resonance, but the change is small enough to be a run-to-run difference..

Pretty consistent and my heavily used no 1 does still do the job.

Does anyone have a recommended online vendor for the CA-TRS-1007? Preferably in North America or at least with reasonable shipping (and an up-to-date website)?

Comparison -
4 LP - CA-TRS1007, Denon XL-7001, Denon XG-7001, Ortofon-TR
Cartridge - AT-440Mla 1.4g=70-80mkm
Azimuth - CA-TRS1007=Ortofon-TR
Azimuth - Denon XL-7001=Denon XG-7001

Bonus - IZMSO 327/2-8 technological test disc from around 1990, recently a batch of these LPs was found in one of the warehouses of an audio equipment production plant.

Wonder if lateral tracking angle affects results with azimuth. Should have 1 kHz L-R at different locations of the LP.

I tried to analyse the LTA on a 15 min 3150hz track from 128mm - 70mm . Adjusted level to be equal in both channels, inverted one channel and summed. The remaining level shows show the HTA variation across the record, I think . But I do not get 2 minima , only one at 118mm or so and increasing inwards…

I wonder why.

looks like this, filtered out <2000hz and 4000hz ti eliminate distoriond differences in channel
outer edge to the left centre to the right

AND finally the poor mans reference CA TRS-1007 NOTE balance adjusted, Why does mine have a drop in right channel? PU related, alignment or record? Azimuth set up based on Ortofon test record
