I have inserted my favourite Nils Lofgren CD ‘Keith don’t go’ which incidentally Nils wrote for me when he heard that I got kicked off the ‘Whats Best’ forum.
Just have to wait now for ‘burn-in’ 1000 hours divided by 24 equals ..

The relays ‘clicks’ when you change input are much louder, connected to my phone instantly but had to re-start to see my ipad.

Doesn’t appear to be a ‘volume passthrough mode’ with the A-8,I was never keen on that particular function since an unfortunate finger slip.

As the Eversolo DmP A-8 has analogue ‘ins’ I thought I might play a record ( vinyls to you forum young people) , got the record player, got the records, got me record cleaning brush, found the phono stage, set the internal jumpers back to MC…
Remembered that I had removed cartridge for transportation and hadn’t replaced it!
Looking for cartridge, protractor, measuring scales, tweezers …
Cantilevers appear to much tinier than they used to be and it’s already nearly dark.

Stole back daughter’s Technics which has a cartridge and cantilever goodness how because she is not in the slightest careful.

Playing Massive Attack , halfway through first track and needle stuck in groove, you just don’t get this amount of fun with digital.

Got the other turntable, the Sony re -attached the cartridge and one channel of my phono stage has gone!
I was recreating the early 80’s those of you who are old enough may remember taking this record to hi-fi shops.

Do you hear any sound difference from A-6? Probably not... Still my preference is A-8 because it will be simpler and convenient, also some EQ features. ...Besides DAC/pre-amplifier, I already order power amp and speakers.

I don’t hear any differences ,the measurements of the A-6 suggest it is transparent I don’t expect Eversolo to have made a mess of the A-8, as you say added features although no GOLD on the A-8!
