Hate vinyl or enjoy it, what this guy had to do in order to get an animated electron microscope video of LP playback is fascinating and far more esoteric than I would have guessed:
I understand that he is producing an animation from spaced still-shots rather than the normal dynamic motion. Nice clean shots.
I am familiar with LaserDisc but the SelectaVision one I missed, somehow. Neat.

but those Signet cartridges are quite sought-after.
It's just a re-badged Audio Technica- nothing special at all.
Yes, it's an Audio Technica but many on the vinyl forums consider the Signet line superior to the AT line (rightly or wrongly). Whether technically superior or not it still has a mystique that makes it desirable, much like vinyl replay in general.
(...after I attacked it with my bandsaw.)...so that I could push the needle into the record without, you know, destroying the record...
