Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

Got the UBR62's.
The cabinet is a HUGE improvement and significantly less lively compared to the UBR52's.
No resonance issues I can detect

I'm surprised how much "brighter" both the UB52's and UBR62 sound compared to my KEF R3s, not a complaint just an observation.

Kind of funny. I’ve only been into Hifi for a year or so, and the Debut 3.0 was big hyped. The Unifi 2.0 had some RAVE reviews. So I have them both.

Both were given a pretty hard time here.

I’ve not heard any real issues from either of my pairs. I tried very hard to, playing the aforementioned tracks, and boosting the EQ in that frequency range. (Maybe that was stupid, I don’t know.)

I can’t hear anything. It’s possible I’ve heard it and didn’t realize what it was. So, at least for me, if it was present it’s or enough to ruin my experiences.

But yeah, had I not already owned these, I would have had a hard time purchasing. There are enough options to not risk it. But a good sounding pair of Unifi 2.0s for $450 are niiiice. I just think they’re ugly. The Debut 3.0s are absolutely beautiful to me, even though they do still look like budget speakers. It’s just budget done so slick.

Been tempted to leave the 3.0s as mains but the Unifi’s definitely do sound just that much better most of the time.

I think I got my Uni-Fi 2.0s for $250 used.

Same experience (no issues)
