I had a wide and tall stage and did some research to see what I could do to adjust it. The recommendation was to change the distance to the speakers. Since I have an Anthem MRX 720 the distances are entered manually from a tape ruler. I had them all worked out and entered; the front speakers were front 17', center 16', subs 16' and 16' cannot enter inches. So just to see what would happen, I reduced them all by 5' and the stage narrowed and came down to eye level. Of course, when every a change is made, the system sounds better, so I ignored that. Went back to the research and found I reduced the audio timing by about 5 ms. I have no way of measuring the timing, so a have to take their word for it.
Just check REW and the results are:
Change the frequency timings? > YES
Change the phase timing?>YES
Do I have to reset the DSP? >YES
Will the distance change effect home theater audio; DTS Master HD, True HD, Dolby Atmos? >YES
Back to square one
