Apparently dCS is expanding to streamers along with separate chassis mono DACs, clock and upsampler. But will they continue threatening to sue reviewers? That is the question! lol

Vulgar and repugnant. ( company and product).

Just what we need, the internals of a Wim in a fancy chassis

I was looking at the back of this thing and wondered what those connectors are. Each box seems to have one.

I am guessing (from top to bottom):

- Display module / control point
- Clock module
- Monoblock DAC 1 (with 2x XLR and 2x RCA outputs?!)
- Monoblock DAC 2 (also with 2x XLR and 2x RCA outputs)
- Renderer (RJ45 in, USB in + 8 Actus connectors)

From the video it looks like a new proprietary connector.

Note: no Toslink in and no external wi-fi antenna. And no picture of the remote - how do you control this thing? I presume it's an app on a tablet.

External antennas haven't been needed in years. Those traditional small antennas are more like a design point (for gamers) or needed in a very very low cost solutions. Even my low cost (comparatively) and years old NAD M10 is happy without external antennas.

Yeah you can just put wifi antenna's on the inside alone the edges. In laptops they are often in the bezel of the screen.

It would be fun to see a really designed and over engineered wifi antenna though. But I'm guessing dCS user base is not wifi people.

As a long time owner of this, I refuse to comment further.

That remote has no keyboard. How do you select tracks to listen to on Tidal?
That's what the top box is for... is the screen with the UI. You just know this is going to be horrible...
