Wonder if any of these people remember the days we had CRT black and white monitors!

The top one looks like coding.

The middle one is a trader's station, the bottom one probably is, but there's less on-screen evidence.

Here's some "back in the good old days"...

Talking about monitors...
The first useful programme I wrote was a racing car suspension geometry optimisation, Fortran on a CDC6600, iirc. Printout on a 132 column printer - no sign of a CRT or display anywhere (1970/1).
The process control computer I chose to control and data collect from the wind tunnel I installed in 1980 was an Analog Devices Macsym II. It took months for delivery and I had to use a Hewlett-Packard 41CV with card reader, thermal printer and HP-IL DVM for data and manual control in the mean time. The Macsym II has a 5" green on black integral CRT.
Colour displays? Pah!
:)

We should bring CRTs back to computing much like people have done with tubes for audio! Who is with me???

The high end ones always looked great & were easy on the eyes.
My only concern: weight.

iridium.
