Centered volume knobs

I'd like to dedicate this thread to audio gear with centered volume knobs. #aesthetic

I had to think about this for a minute... it's not an aesthetic I am generally crazy about.
Then I remembered one.

Unassailable aesthetics. (yeah, OK... de gustitbus non est disputandum)
Sounds good, too.

Wish I had one.




h/k made a couple of runners up. The smaller/cheaper one (A401) was the aesthetic winner, IMO, but the big sibling's nice too... and I do have one of those (A402)

I don't really care about the knobs. I'm fine with a remote and minimal knob, as my use is 99% remote, 1% knob. If I had to vote for a volume knob it would probably be the silly remote with a huge knob on it....can't remember who does that one. Now, that tuner wheel on my old back in the day Marantz receiver.....best knob ever.

I'll refrain for two reasons. I don't have any centered volume knobs. Did at one time. And I prefer knobs on one end or the other. Its just what I grew up with I suppose, but centered knobs look like someone didn't put any thought into it.

Looked pretty much like that! Worked great for the two or three stations I listened to. Kept it through several changes in amps.

Love the responses so far. I had no idea there was as much vintage gear with centered knobs as there is.
