Cat News?

The makings of Pure Evil.

Has anyone got their heart (wallet?) broken, when a cat used the speaker grills as a perfectly well placed scratching pole?
Ugggh! We are 100% committed as indoor-ONLY cat owners and have acquiesced to snipping Spooks' front claws.
Our alternative was to have no cat at all!
It’s a sign the little beasty is looking for something. It wants its own “speaker” to play with. ;)

“I’ll take ‘tempting fate’ for $500, Alex.” :p

That's life with a cat though, isn't it?

He did launch a 705P off my desk once... couldn't find a mark on it. I have the 708s 'anchored' with some double sided sticky stuff. They make such excellent perches.

Cats are the owners; you are staff.
I've heard that as "Dogs have owners.... cats have staff!"
I am not a cat "lover" but my mate doesn't want to hear of it...

Our Spooks story requires some explanation to exonerate myself as a practitioner of animal-cruelty:
This scrawny kitten had 2 choices: (1)No front claws... happy indoor life? or (2)The feline gas-chamber... w/claws intact?

From day one of adoption, Spooks has always been tutored and encouraged to never lose his wild ancestry. [<< I am NOT kidding!]
Notice that I am not referring to our Spooks as a 'cat' because I have continually trained him to fight ferociously. [<< I am NOT kidding!]
Almost every single morning (at age 12), Spooks comes over and head-butts me to start fighting like a dog. [<< I am NOT kidding!]
Neighbors come over just to watch our skirmishes, which take good 5 minutes. I usually win but NOT w/o cuts and blood. [<< I am NOT kidding!]
You probably would not believe it until you see it but Spooks will stand on his hind legs and start slapping (punching?) my right-hand trying to touch him. [<< I am NOT kidding!]
You can literally hear his slaps and once riled up enough; he will start attacking me w/hind leg' claws and teeth, I can raise my arm enough to have him hanging from it, while trying to bite. [<< I am NOT kidding!]
Spooks has 3 rules when the game is on: (1) I cannot move from my kneeling spot, (2) I can only use my right hand, and (3) I am not allowed to blow on to his face or the game is over. [<< I am NOT kidding!]

cats are pure joy ..they mirror the love / lack of love they receive..
I agree completely.
However, they are neither Good nor Evil by nature and they have no moral code of Lawfulness to abide by. ;)

Agreed... Their moral code is neutrality, pretty much your point..their actions are dictated by " whatever works"... That's the concept of " mirroring "...treat em with love and stability and they pretty much reciprocate...
