Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro MKII and DT 1990 Pro MKII announced

Downside is the cable resistance for the coiled cable is way too high (audible effects in stereo imaging) and the headphone is very output resistance dependent
Are they still shielding and grounding the cables? I heard it affects their high end frequencies by a tangible amount, though couldn't hear any difference when decoupling my t1s.

Highly unlikely as the return wire would be very low resistance and the issue would not exist.

Shielding won't affect high frequencies its a myth.
Even if shielded cables were used the capacitance would still be far below 1nF and even with a source having a 100ohm output R the -3dB point would still be > 1Mhz.

Besides, if shielding would be a problem around 10kHz then why are all HF cables shielded :)
