Time for my opinion...
I can't tell you whether or not these speakers are "worth the price". For me I would say "No". But I am not in the habit of spending 2K on a pair of bookshelf speakers either. The ones that I am listening to right now as I type are some mid 80s Scott 166 speakers. Sealed with a 6.5" treated paper woofer and a Philips tweeter. To me they sound wonderful and they cost me all of $150 for the pair a few years ago.
Also I read the info on these speakers from their website and some of the language used seemed to be a bit in the realm of "snake oil". I mean why do I need "cryogenically treated pure copper wiring" anyway?
So value is something you have to decide on and also what is available to you where you live. I just looked on the Parts Express website because I know that they have some similar speakers for about $200 per pair, although right now they are listed as unavailable. There were a few listing for the speakers on Ebay. Here is a listing from Australia...
6.5" Bookshelf AMT Ribbon Speakers. Higher-quality AMT tweeter. Product Category: Bookshelf Speaker. Compact, unobtrusive design w/ exceptional performance & value. Black ebony pica vinyl cabinet finish giving a clean & modern appearance.

Most reviews I found had no measurements at all. They may be very good sounding speakers but you may also decide that a sub is needed for the bottom end. No matter how good a 6" woofer is, it isn't going to dig that deep down in the bass...
