AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Is there a version with the same linearity, which can go well below 35 Hz? I am referring to the passive version
Can't be perfectly same, but It'll be best linearity as a passive network.
Due to its box volume and PR tuning frequency, it won't go fully down to 35Hz as a anechoic response, But with proper amount of room gain, It can get 35Hz in room response.

Would adding it void the warranty?
Back plate amp has its own sealed box. To add remote kit, you should open the box by force and it can ruin sealing. Yes, it will void warranty.

Ok, too bad...
Will the DSP be set to 0 dBFS or will you use a headroom margin? (to prevent ISP)
Just to know... not strictly important.

There are already more methods of attenuation you can shake a stick at, traditional preamp, streamer, dac, playback software.

yes but it is a pity to convert from digital to analogue and then back to digital again. Is the Hypex master/slave connection both AES/EBU or only Spdif ? If only Spdif what's the maximum length allowed ?

There are a few devices that can send and attenuate a digital signal, RME ‘pro’ that’s what I usually recommend, but not many.
I have tried comparing digital/analogue in with two pairs of 8Cs could hear any difference.

The minor discrepancies in the trim ring and waveguide are yet to be fixed, and the trim ring on the side woofer is also missing. However, I am sharing a

photo of the A6B. More photos will be updated next week.

Not to throw water on this fire, but why ASCI A6B as opposed to a Genelec with room correction, and a dedicated dealership line?

I expect more than one person in 1974 said why Genelec?
Keith

Because Genelec aren't using the Purifi driver with its amazingly low distortion.
I am all for increased competition, especially if it will put downward pressures the cost of well designed, well made speakers. But these are already beyond the price of the LS50 W2 with less functionality.

They do not have the same known trust of durability or repair distribution as Genelec. It’s not a question trolling for shallow responses. It’s a question for both the consumer (us) and the manufacturer to answer.

As for the ultra-low distortion of the amplifiers, the drivers and your room will have far more influence. Nonetheless it is a valid point for both KEF and Genelec to up-their-game.

The LS50II are fine little speakers we have them here but …

KEF and Genelec are more like senior brand than competitors. They inspired us to have a philosophy to make measurement led design speakers.

But considering performance of our products, C5B is similar level with LS50, and the price is around $1K while LS50W2 is $2.5k.
I assure you can find a proper products under $1K having similar functions that KEF can do.

And for Genelec, A6B price is set between 8340A and 8341A. You can value how the Purifi driver is. Not like GLM, but you can also adjust room correction EQ by Hypex amp.

Would you say C6B is on a similar level with the R3? Or not really
Not really. R3 is 3 way speaker.
3 way has many of advantages compared to 2 way design. If there is 2 way LS50 6” version, C6B will be similar or even better.

I was referring to the Purifi drivers, not the amp. The amp is `Hypex, not Purifi as there is no crossover for active speakers yet.
