I don't know of anywhere the hd600 are on sale, but Drop has the HD 58x and hd 6xx for sale right now. I think that they are pretty close alternatives IMO.

You can get HD560s at Sennheiser Outlet for cheap if that Will do.

That’s as cheap as I’ve ever seen.

I bought the HDX-6XX and resold them though as I personally prefer my Phillips x2HR headphones.

For what it's worth, I got a great deal on my Sennheiser HD-600s back in 2003 -- I paid $200 ($300 in today's money).

Drop's deal is cheaper, even excluding inflation. And after listening for thousands of hours, I'd say $179 is a good deal.

I might try to see if the official Senn store will price match, then try using their 10% off email coupon to take them down to $270. I am really not interested in the HD 650 or any other models, but I do appreciate the help and responses!
