Yup. I do often wonder how many of the fitment issues reported here are the result of the ol' reverse ear hook treatment. From here it looks like you mounted the cable reversed and swapping the phase

Yup. These need a short but wide tip to stay put and seal well for me (azla sednafit large for me)That's the crux of the matter. The physical geometry is different and will work for some but not for others.
Here's TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero (Blue, incorrectly said I had the RED earlier in the thread) vs 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2

By the way, while doing this I noticed that the R side membrane is tilted in my case, not sure if it matters, guess some quality control issue(?).

Good point! I went with matching the R on cable with R on IEM being on the same side/face hoping that was correct. Above you can see both "R"'s, and you cannot see either "L" as they're on the other face/side.Just follow the stock images.

If you worn them with the cable plugged that way (and I can't imagine how) I wonder what nuances you could even hear given that phase is inverted and they should sound totally wrong.Initial impressions are excellent. Hearing nuances I normally hear on reference headphones.
As long as the phase is inverted on both sides, the sound will stay the same.If you worn them with the cable plugged that way (and I can't imagine how) I wonder what nuances you could even hear given that phase is inverted and they should sound totally wrong.
Yeah indeed, ok then only the first half of the question remains unsolvedAs long as the phase is inverted on both sides, the sound will stay the same.
It's only if you invert just one side, that the sound quality breaks apart.
Right now listening to So What by John Coltrane, and got to agree, very hard to beat with regular loudspeakers. Thanks Amir for the test!I think this IEM will likely make you not like your regular speaker system unless it is of highest caliber!
Well, that's a nice idea actually but I can't handle itOne color for each ear?
One channel being inverted when using speakers causes interference but on IEMs the soundwaves aren't interfering with each other. I guess I could experiment a bit but it's not clear how this special case would be detectable. As long as the phase is inverted on both sides, the sound will stay the same.

Try these sound tests:One channel being inverted when using speakers causes interference but on IEMs the soundwaves aren't interfering with each other. I guess I could experiment a bit but it's not clear how this special case would be detectable.
Yeah, I hear it thanks. I guess then this means that it's not solely interference which causes the problems when using speakers.Try these sound tests:
