The new modules also have silk-screen removed on the back of the boards to allow for heatsinking the bottom-cooled GaN devices. Ill post pictures of this tomorrow its getting very late here.

In the below picture you can see the solder mask has two 13.25 x 13.25mm openings to attach heatsinking for each of the half-bridges. The heatsink will need to have insulating thermal pads. As you can see you don't want the heatsink shorting those nets together.

Would you please show a full power 1kHz (at 4R or 8R) FFT up the spectrum?

I want to see what levels we are getting at switching frequency of 770kHz, which is right in the AM band.

Above thread link has disappeared. Probably it should be in Desperate Dealers as you had a link to purchase.

I will do it at some point. However, I can tell you that as the output power increases the frequency becomes spread spectrum. At full power, the frequency is varying between 250kHz and 770kHz. This also helps with amplifier efficiency.

Here is a simulation that I have from a completely different design that behaves very similar:

Here you go at full power, you can see the switching frequency varies between ~350 and 770kHz, switching artifacts are ~70dB down from 0dB reference which is 44.72Vrms.

Well that is truly excellent. Thank you for doing that. :)

Is it unloaded or loaded BTW (4R/8R)?

fyi. the fully assembled (starkrimson ultra) unit is shipping this week- I got noticed of the package coming in for next week. An aside comment- for some reason Orchard Audio wanted to charge $200 more for the silver color faceplate (..rerr .. no thanks. I'll take black and save 200 bucks).

Hello,

I send you a PM. I have not started shipping the fully assembled amps yet. I have only sent a few to reviewers. If you got a shipment notification and you are not a reviewer please contact me.

Thanks;
Leo
