hi,

I finally got around to doing the YPAO calibration with my Yamaha TSR 7810, but I'd like to do some manual adjustments to individual speakers.

I have a Radio Shack analog sound level meter and know how to use it. What I need to do is have each speaker (3.1 setup for now) generate a continuous tone, so I can manually adjust them. I've gone through the audio menu and can't find it.

Is that even available on these units?

Thanks for any help.

You'd probably need a separate source for sound - a pink noise CD or something similar. But REW will be much more revealing than a simple SPL meter. If you have a laptop you can plug in and a mic.

My experience using Yamaha, Onkyo, and now Denon AVRs is that Yamaha's YPAO does benefit from a lot of manual tweaking.

Best of luck. Let us know how it goes.
