very decent artistic 5.1 re-mixing a lot of sounds i'm familiar with sound , psychoacoustic near close to decent proximate compared to those atmos mixers , give them less channels to mix with will expand their minds , though the mix could have used directional dialog , sound effects wise its rather decent

going into though tunnels , underneath bridges , alongside " the truck " sounds pan and go off screen or onscreen such camera angles inside " the car " engine in front or camera around another angle where engine sounds on the surrounds

i was looking above , over my shoulder , below me with the amount of detail in the stereo surrounds and effects in the surrounds caused me to finch or duck when torpedoes being fired around with submarines explode/imploding

Wow, that is impressive from such an old film (using old surround tech - 90's right or 00's), especially that you describe it as your best cinema sound experience! I think that's testimony that films could do so much more to optimise their sound implementations.

when they read the message , " BEECATA " they are nervous and pause between the read out scared that , may not be going back home it all be gone , tense movie
ADR looping of the dialog between EXO and captain is neatly done in the mixing when they over talking each other , i can focus on the captain and filter out the EXO or vice versa , even after the yelling and one of the other officers is started with what is going on , can hear his eyelids blinking , usually when we do that its soft sound , its just barely audible

29 years ago , sound mix wise with what encoding is on offer 5.1 and amount of over laying tracks , it sort of transforms the room into the submarine fantasy world for 116 mins

i watch what is happening on-screen and listen to out for any off-screen sounds or sounds off-screen in the surrounds to how stylistic/artistic the stereo surrounds are mixed and what additional matrix decoders or ways to expanding the usual common surround speaker layout to making it bit more better than usually home cinema

the many things i don''t like about the stormaudio is , fader level doesn't go to +10dB it stops at 0.0dB , where's denon 8500h goes to i think +15.0dB
sony SDDS +10.dB , any of Dolby CP go to 10 on the fader which is 10dB higher than usual " 7 " 0.0dB

fader or crimson tide was about -14dB or -12dB during some loud/action scenes and often i may lowered fader to -16dB , i think i recheck gain levels , no issues with system , reproduces easily to 105dBc , not ear deafening , just loud and exciting

To give you praise on your setup, I would wager you've probably got the best setup cinema setup that I've seen on here, I'd imagine so. You've built it as a no frills (in other words visual aesthetic not a factor) no compromise audio experience. I'd be surprised if there's anybody here with a truly more capable surround sound cinema experience potential - that's what I bet. What do you think? Is it possible to get the same or close or better than what you have with Trinnov, etc?

presently live , with crimson tide dts THX laserdisc and some honest ranting at some of the tech flaws with stormudio

govee camera senor to changing led RGB colours looks at the screen and produces colours that are sort of displayed on oled or video projector screen for additional light show ambient effect , also has built in microphone for sound colour activation light show

65" old and also 5meter for some video projector screen size about 120"

chapter 14 the bee dome , you will believe the bees are in the room in THX sound system ! wow the stereo surrounds , with the experimental overhead surround and below matrix surround , it freaked me out ! bass mid with some side pitch frequency shifting or panning which ever

Like I mentioned in the other thread it look like may allow extra speaker locations in the Base Layer. Of course it still won't decode more than 24 Atmos channels, but I expect they will all get used by StormXT.

the extra channels , i not programed those into the storm ( theatre mode ) that's why its not showing , i lost all care interest for the processor its Dolby flawedMos

i noticed issue with it to night , playing back total theatrical mix coolness of the AC-3 the abyss , the surrounds started to do a distorted sound , at first thinking it was on the encoding of the soundtrack ? as it wasn't on the stage channels , , so i restart the processor issue resolved , it was sort of ( spitty noise ) so stormaudio has some flaws within it

bass slam when the small submersible implodes , wow 110dBc a-weighting maintains 85dBa with additional audio limiters
this AC-3 makes the 4k atmos sound like mini near field mix - soundbar
