Not recommend used with the topping D10, Our laboratory test will be noisy when used with D10, and the noise comes from D10 not A20a.
And the power supply behind a20a is recommended to be connected to a20d, if it is connected to other decoding power supply, you need to consult that brand.
I plan on connecting the A20a to my Sabaj D5 with "Audioblast 2ft HQ-4 Star Quad" balanced XLR cables. I'm really looking forward to their synergy. Has a Sabaj D5 been successfully lab tested with the A20a? Thanks!

Ha ha, loan me the U.S. $420+ and I'll be glad to let you know what I think of it's pairing with my A20a. Besides, I'm waiting for Amir's scientific review and expert opinion of the A20d before even thinking of replacing my D5!
A20a noise generation problem
What happened to your A20a noise problem after that?
No change. I unplugged everything going into the amp but the power and the speakers. Same whine.
What about the "a10d"? Doesn't the a10d also have the 15v input? Both a10d and a20d can be plugged to the A20a, right? And the power supply behind a20a is recommended to be connected to a20d, if it is connected to other decoding power supply, you need to consult that brand.

Different power socket, outlet, mains disiributor and nothing else connected to that, only the amp ?
To summarize my epic journey...
I started with a 3E SY-DAP1002 with a an E30 and L30 plugged into it. USB from the PC, RCA to all components. Dead silent at max volume.
I then bought a DA-9, which had wild DC offset variation, but picked up a lot of interference from the PC and USB (especially when I moved my wireless mouse).
I replaced the DA-9 with an A20a. The A20a still picked up USB noise so I went optical from the PC instead. The noise quieted a bit but there was a noticeable high pitched whine. The whine actually increases in volume when I disconnect the other components and only having the amp and the speakers connected.
I now have an AO200 to compare it to. The AO200 also picks up USB noise, so I am using optical. However, unlike the A20a, there is no noise at max volume with or without components plugged into it.
At some point I may try USB again, but with some sort of isolator. However, I'm assured that I really won't hear any difference so it might just be throwing money down the drain.
To me, the biggest mystery is why the 3E amp never picked up any interference over USB but all other amps do.
Do you know why there would be a problem using Topping D10 Balanced with Sabaj A20a ?He's talking about D10 Balanced not D10.
