My headphone shelf only has room for 3 sets of headphones, and now I have 4 pairs...so 1 too many.

Most of my listening is through speakers, so headphones are used either for late-night listening or during mix monitoring.

RME ADI-2 Pro or Devialet Expert 400 are what drive the cans.

Digital listening is through Roon, where EQ can be applied.

So which pair should I get rid of?

I've got 7 pairs in a tiny apartment, so I'm going to be of no help.
But don't get rid of the 6XX.

You are worried about getting rid of one measly pair of headphones because the shelf is too small?

Yeah, AKG can be like that. But if this pair breaks, I'm probably gonna replace it with the same. Sound-wise, I'm having a hard time getting them off my head.

marie kondo, man

I should invite her over. I think her head would explode, there's only 18 pairs of speakers and 12 amplifiers in my listening room at the moment. Relatively tidy as I packed up about 20 things to make space for more.

Somehow, I don't think we'd get along... ;)

I voted HE-400, I figured with the K371 (closed back), K7xx (wiiiiiide soundstage) and HD6xx (more intimate, speaker-like) you've got enough differences there.

Edit: thought the HD6xx was based off the 600 not the 650, changed 'neutral' to 'speaker-like'

Well, if I follow this logic tree, the K7XX would have to go.
I'm inordinately fond of the K371s, but think the 6xx pair is more 'truthful'. Haven't heard the other two.
