Does the 9038S come with a short USB-C to USB-C cable or do we have to source one? Thanks!

In Alliexpress shop of E1DA you can select the usb cable which will be usefull for you (short C to C or OTG splitter for power bank)
or TRRS version of MMCX cable for headphines...

I took a short video during S/N pretest.
Ambient temperature = 27C. As you can see, most of the units close to -123dbA(AVG probably 122.8dbA 3.4VRMS REF). Actually, I measured 175pcs but recollect that I can take an interesting video only in the end of test ))

100% of devices tested with AP analyzer - that's what I call proper output quality inspection !

BTW, one of 175pcs showed me 115/122dbA, and I replaced all that only I can suspect! ES9038Q2M, AD8397 on the left channel but finally, I found scratched 200ohm 0402 res. I guess I have broken that when put all PCBA together in the box. 0402 resistor is a ceramic lamina 1x.5x.2mm and it easily could be broken by another ceramic part with moderate acceleration and collision.

@IVX Imho those editions could be explained a bit better as not all can understand the differences by comparing OTG, C-C, MMXC etc.. :)

Thank you @IVX for being so careful with quality control, great work

read the entire thread about this product and the possible consequences of using 2.5 to 3.5 adapters etc. for the 9038S thank you all for providing the info, from what I understand if I use a truly balanced cable for my headphones (not an adapter) that should be fine correct?

The following product will fit my headphones (see below)
https://www.amazon.com/HIDIZS-Detac...=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B07RL6SKJH

Note most pictures have a TRP connector in it but the actual product there is 1 picture that shows a 2.5mm male TRRP plug.

Just need some validation from the experts before purchasing, I know I can wait for the 9038D but the 9038S mk2 seems to provide outstanding sonics anyways, Ivan reported above -123db for the D version which if I recall correctly are similar values as the S version

Thank you in advance

Luis

That looks really ingenious. Wow!

I may have missed something, but why is the volume buttons and tapping so ingenious?
