I am going to keep my powder dry for the new D&D , the 8C only took thirteen years I should still be alive, profoundly deaf perhaps but alive.

I see that HRE1 is about 40k a pair street price.Well it looks as if the Danley HRE1 ( the speaker formerly known as Hyperion) has changed a little.

I would still like a pair here even though I know it would be highly unlikely that I ever sell a pair and it would definitely end in divorce.
ILE3 too

I echo your sentiment, very curious about the larger D&Ds. Some months ago Martijn told me later this year for release, we shall see! But I do hope they are less costly than the Danleys!I am going to keep my powder dry for the new D&D , the 8C only took thirteen years I should still be alive, profoundly deaf perhaps but alive.

Deal!We can buy one each.

Natural/black in my home right now just waiting to be set-up.A little too industrial looking for the home.
LOL … I agree that photo is ugly. And to be clear, was calling the Danleys ugly, not D&D (or Sigberg) which I believe look decent. Not typical HEA jewelry, but good enough. again, looks are secondary for me anyway. You should know that given the looks of the Soundfield “Frankenspeakers” … ugly as heck, but the sound, ah the sound, superb. Of course if I go the Soundfield route, any final system that AJ will design for me will also have some “jewelry” looks. You can have your cake and eat it.Ugly how very dare you sir!
I find this ugly,

Sure … we gonna have shared custody of the stereo pair? May have to involve an attorneyI am thinking natural/black baffle do you have any preference?

I agree. D&D are obtainable by a much wider range of people than something for $40k.D&D are all about sound quality Ron, they are not rich people’s conversation pieces, plenty of manufacturers do that.

Maybe you can Frankendanley the two: take the lower part of the ILE3 and put the upper bit of the HRE1 on top of it

Smal horn == shit...Hah! ... Reminds me of the robot maid from "The Jetsons"
Well, you can get PA SPL volume levels for much less in a coaxial configuration:

*Off-axis won't be as uniform as the Danley's synergy horn -- judging just from the physical design, I believe -- but it's still quite good.
Danley seriously just needs to up their photo editing skills.

But that's not a high-frequency hornOf course, we know the horns can always get bigger to suit ones needs:

With class D amplification being so cheap, hearing loss isn't nearly the barrier it once wasI am going to keep my powder dry for the new D&D , the 8C only took thirteen years I should still be alive, profoundly deaf perhaps but alive.
