I recently discovered a relatively new (9 months old) Youtube-channel that focuses on measurements and disassemblies of analog DJ mixers: Mixers Inside. I really like the spirit of the guy that's making the videos:
My name is Kamil and i'm an electronic engineer with more than 5 years experience in circuit design. I want to reveal you some secrets. There are too many myths in DJ mixer industry and my mission is to spread knowledge and make people more conscious and marketing resistant.
After watching some of his videos I'd like to recommend this channel here on ASR and would love to hear what you think of these reviews!

I've just discovered his channel before reading your post.

I think some serious objective data regarding DJ equipment is needed. There's too many specifications that are way too vague, and with the price ranges that are charged these days, I think it is about time that some hard facts are shared.

I'm currently debugging an issue with my current setup which includes a Vestax PMC-55 with rotary channel faders. It seems to produce a higher noise floor than what I thought it should. I have been looking at other mixers to find out what I should replace it with in case I am not able to solve the issue, and that seems quite difficult!
