Which Legacy Speakers are these?

My dad had to go into a nursing home, and my mom gave me his awesome Legacy speakers. FedEx was paid to ship them - and didn’t even bubble wrap or double box them, despite charging me $1300 to pack and ship them! I certainly didn’t expect such a crappy packing job!

The beautiful wood corners got crushed in multiple areas I am sick to my stomach over it, and plan to sue FedEx. My son even saw the FedEx delivery person stand them up and push them over with complete disregard. My son did not know what was in the boxes… FedEx acted with complete disregard…. Which model speakers are these, and what do these go for? I couldn’t find exact model online.

I see them being sold for around $1000-1500 used.

This article has them for $7795/pr. – $9,895/pr., depending on finish (and gives them a really good review too,even if there's no measurements)

It really hurts to see them in such condition though and I think you won't get much suing them as proper packaging is on the clients side.

From my impression these have sentimental value and the OP wanted to keep them. I think the query about monetary value is to get an idea about how much compensation to ask for, since FedEX were paid to pack and send these speakers, doing a shit job all round.

FedEx acted with complete disregard

Absolutely. Keep pushing them until you get a decent amount off them. Unfortunately that won't fix the damage to the sentimental value, but hopefully they work fine and keep going for many years. You can probably patch them up a bit too, so the damage is not so obvious.

We paid FedEx to pack them….. I was not there to do it.

I was able to get Vaneer repaired - they actually did a decent job for $375. The speaker grill cover tabs all broke off. Can you buy replacement tabs / grills somewhere? Looking forward to getting these working again. Tweeter cover is all dented in too. Ideally replace it.
