Wow…Piano Sonata No.10 op.70…nice touch, expansive Grand Piano…well recorded and I wonder where the mics were placed…The mastering engineer is Herr Christoph Franke, the recording engineer Sebastian Nattkemper…a splendid work.

This is probally my favorite west African singer of the moment (and since a while) with her latest album. Fatoumata Diawara is original from the Wassoulou culture in western Mali, bu travels the world and lives in Milan and Paris mostly. You can also know her as member of the actual version of Gorrilaz or as one of the main actresses of west Africa of the last 20 years. Her music is a mix of traditional Wassoulou music with western and afropop.

And another favorite,Tony Allen. He was the drummer that gave Fela Kuti his groove in the 1960's and 1970's but moved on in the 1980 and went solo. This is an album out of the 1990's and one of my favorites.
