Thoughts on KLH Model Three?

I'm looking for decent pair of speakers for secondary audio system in spare room. There are some great deals on speakers right now and many to consider. My speaker budget is around $1K. I have shortlist, but haven't considered the KLH Model Three speakers.
There have been mixed reviews since being released. So, I wanted to get some feedback and opinions from ASR community members.

What are your thoughts on KLH Model Three speakers? How do they sound? Are they worth the money?

Take a look at the ascend sierra 1 v2 and the Philharmonic ceramic mini.... Both should be ok without a sub, and both are going to sound good .. There isn't much info on the model 3 that i know of...
