At least we now know the snakes in the snake-oil are anacondas. I saw these (or similar) at a dealer ~30 years ago. Marketed by Mapleshade?

BTW, this brand of cables exists, although apparently not for audio purposes:

Anaconda® Brand

"When it comes to reliability and performance in a mining cable, one name stands alone. Anaconda® Brand is the Industry standard for toughness, flexibility and extremely long life. Engineered to endure the most severe and extreme demands of the toughest mining applications, Anaconda Brand—the world’s premier extra-heavy-duty mining-grade cable."

This from an Anaconda Brand mining cable catalog. Why aren't the after-market power cable guys using this? AWG = 1! Does Furutech make wall outlet connectors and carbon fiber outlet plates to fit this? 3.5 inches/87 mm o.d.; 6.5 lbs per ft/9.5 kg per m; 536 ampacity. The catalog uses units of 1000 feet or kilometer lengths. Enough to make power cords for all your gear! ;)

For me, it is interesting looking at the PDF catalog of "ANACONDA Mining Cable";
- https://na.prysmian.com/sites/na.pr...nts/INS-0044-R1014_Mining_Catalog_ENGLISH.pdf

Since I actually use "industry-use" multi-core cable "Vinyl Cabtyre Cables" (made in Japan) as my SP cables in mutlichannel audio rig, as I have shared here, here and here. (For details of my latest system setup, please refer to here).

I use 8-m long "Vinyl Cabtyre Cable" of AWG12x8-core (5.24 Ohm/km) and AWG10 x 4-core (3.37 Ohm/km) which almost corresponds to CAT #09208 (AWG12 x 8-core) and CAT #09005 (AWG10 x 5-core), respectively, of ANACONDA Super Vu-TronR Multi-Conductor Type S00W (90 degreeC, 600 Volt, UL/CSA Portable Cord).
