In years past there were a half dozen audiophile cafes and bars in Saigon but I don't think many have survived Covid. It also had my favorite jazz and classical CD shop on the planet but if course it's long gone.

I like this listening cafe in a geodesic dome in Japan with the JBL Paragon speaker. It's been refurbished and looks like new.
Wish I could find some movers like that here in the US. They did an incredible job with delicate and heavy!
The Paragon is indescribably beautiful.

As required, as required. I think a bar would be too noisy a place to appreciate high end sound.

Yeah, if I'm going to a bar to listen to music, it better be live music (and in my case live jazz, but YMMV). The idea of going to a bar to listen to hifi reproduction doesn't have appeal for me.

This place just opened near us - https://jimmysoncongress.com/ - and I hope to visit someday

As mentioned, there really isn't possible to be audiophile in a bar setting. That said, there is still something magical and romantic about large JBLs playing gently in the background with large speaker dynamics, surrounded by dark satin-finished wood.

For anyone in Singapore/about to travel here I can recommend RPM by DBespoke (pic above). Japanese bartenders, large vinyl collection, cocktail menu focused largely on Japanese liquors like shochu or umeshu. Lovely both in the afternoon or night. My personal favourite is a potent concoction of shochu, umeshu and calvados they age in a small barrel.

Wonderful bar. The actual bar is hewn from a single tree as can be seen. That's what I want my rec room to look like! :p

They have a DJ on staff to keep the music playing, no? I wonder how they reach those LPs in that highest rack.

Nothing like that in my neighborhood, looks relaxing. Just keep me away from both the controls and cabling, especially if it's messy.

Nothing like that near me, either, but I do have some equipment at home that tickles my nun handles adequately.
