Alexander Mair "Sandy" Courage Jr. (December 10, 1919 – May 15, 2008) was an American orchestrator, arranger, and composer of music, primarily for television and film. He is best known as the composer of the theme music for the original Star Trek series.
He did some work for Lost in Space too, which has a real catchy theme song. I just recently watched the first episode for the first time, before Dr Smith lost his mind.

Beyond
The rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me.

Thanks for posting the score. I immediately entered it into my sequencer. I was surprised to find out that, as written, it's about 160BPM. I'll probably add a bunch of weird sounds and see where this goes. This could be fun.
That's the model after the refit for the movies... And remember the model was made ca. 1964-1965. We've gotten spoiled by CGI. And Star Trek was among the lowest of low-budget TV series. It's longevity is from the actors and stories IMO.
