Recommend passive bookshelf/satellites for a larger room? (Dali Spektor 2?) (I will get a sub, Speedwoofer 10S)

I want to set-up a 2.1 (later 5.1) system, and my room currently is rather large, 3100 ft3. (This however might change should I move and the next room might be smaller).

I have settled on a sub (Speedwoofer 10S MKII), realizing I will likely need 2 or the 12", but for now 1 sub will do for a start.

I will get some Marantz AVR SR50xx

I plan MUSIC + MOVIES, and favourite genres are metal, so energetic stuff.

I was planning to get Dali Spektor 2, for the fronts and then 2x for back, but now was being told that the Spektors might be too small and I need speakers with 5" otherwise it might not be optimal for the larger room. (Mind you, I will have a sub.)

Related question here how is it even relevant what size/bass-extension the satellites have, as this work is all done by the sub?

Then I hear people say I should get 3-ways since 2-ways will always have some downsides, like congestion. (I absolutely want to highpass the satellites, so from that point of view I am not sure whether it's relevant whether they're 2 way or 3 way, as lower freqs will not even go to the satellites...)

Any recommendations?

(Budget: Max $500 per speaker or so, available in EU if possible)

Thanks!

Not super relevant, but even when high-passed, the bookshelves will handle 100-300Hz. So clean performance there is beneficial.

2-ways should do just fine.

I'd keep an eye out for the new speakers from @ascilab:

They, along with the Ascend Sierra-1 V2, seem to be the pinnacle of performance in $500 passive bookshelves.

Both were designed with the Klippel NFS, go figure :D
