As far as I recall, 'The Body' do not consider themselves to be a Metal band, but I think that they fit the bill well enough for this thread.
Their latest release, 'Orchards of a Futile Heaven', is a collaboration between them and 'Dis Fig'.

The second half gets very energetic but as a whole AOTY level
