From our visit to Batemans at the weekend - Rudyard Kiplings’s ‘Pukka’ case. Designed by Louis Vuitton for military folk to travel with. Made of coated canvas and very practical as long as somebody else was carrying it
We have a heart warming tv show on the BBC called Repair Shop where a group of expert restorers bring life back to treasured items for ordinary folk. Tonight an elderly chap brought in a radio that had been horribly damaged in transit from his family home in Pakistan. He’d listened to it as a kid. Some pics of the before and after - the expert did an amazing job to reconstruct the case from shards using fibre glass and a new glass tuning panel was made by another of the experts.. such a great show .

Wow - what would the temperature typically be?
I'd say we're on average 7-8 degrees above. February and January have always been the harshest months. These temperatures are normally for March
