'Passive Preamp' Recommendation? - with remote and balance control

I used to have a Jeff Rowland Consonance Preamp and it had the best remote I have ever used. Balance, Phase, Fast Volume, Slow Volume, Inputs and more. Simply the best remote I have ever used, and the preamp had a nice built-in phono stage too. I think most of the Jeff Rowland stuff is well built, have great remotes, and work basically forever. I bought that unit used when it was around five years old, and then sold it over ten years later for only a little less than I bought it for.
