Les Paul - Rock and Blues > Duane Allman, Mick Taylor, Steve Gaines
Strat - Rock and Blues > Hendrix, Clapton, SRV

And then you got Jimmy Page on the Danelectro : )

I was lucky enough to see SRV in 1987. It was incredible to say the least!
Another favorite blues rocker who played all kinds of rigs:

It's a crime his performance wasn't on the Woodstock album. I forget the story but I'm pretty sure it was his manager.

Stratocaster between the two, but I still much prefer the Telecaster to either

I like the Tele too,my friend who plays doesn’t like Fenders cause the neck and body are seperate,he says it makes it sound different from a Les Paul, who knows?

Next to Jimmy Hendrix I don't think anyone can beat Jeff Beck with a Strat. He makes the rosewood fingerboard grind.
