I wanted to share a bit about the flexibility of our Sigberg Audio Inkognito subwoofers, which enables high quality bass with sub-20hz in-room extension even in rooms where you have little space or limited placement options. The Inkognito has a "pizza box" shape. It can be placed either horizontal on the floor, or vertically against a wall. It even supports on-wall installation.
We also aim to kill the idea that subwoofers isn't suitable for music, using the highest quality components (Scan-speak drivers and Hypex amplification) as well as an extremely rigid enclosure. For those who're not aware, we build active speaker systems where subwoofers are an integral part of the system, so you can trust us to take our subwoofers VERY seriously.
Let me simply share some pictures of the Inkognito in various configurations / living rooms to give you an idea:
On wall:
Front and center:
Completely hidden (there are two Inkognitos vertically against the wall behind this desk, you can see one under the desk)
Off to the side behind plants or other furniture:
Hidden behind a couch:
Or how about under?
You can of course have it horizonally on the floor without hiding it as well:
Here's one black and one white, in both horizontal and vertical orientation:
The driver used (10" and 12" versions available) - no shallow mount driver here..
Frequency responses from a couple of rooms:
Frequency response:
Inkognito 10: 25-250hz (+/- 3dB) (ground plane)
Inkognito 12: 23-250hz (+/- 3dB) (ground plane)
Typical in-room bass extension (both): ~18-20hz (-3dB)
Max SPL @ avg 30-80hz/1m:
Inkognito 10: ~111dB
Inkognito 12: ~115dB
As you can see people use these in quite high end systems (including pairing them with our own Sigberg Audio SBS.1 and Mantas of course)!
Hope this gives an impression of the flexibility of the Inkognitos! Happy to answer any questions about these subwoofers, and we also have a development thread right here on ASR.
