New version of Quad’s 334/303, I have always liked the 33’s aesthetic, may have to stock them just because…

Do you know if they are multi-voltage like the old ones? If so, I'm in! Just because I wanted and couldn't afford them as a kid.

The only mention I have seen so far is on Quad’s site, where this photo came from they have the new 303 there too, and another dac/streamer perhaps which looks a little like the later Quad pre the 40?

FM3 with DAB and streamer function.

I still have the original 33/303 (refurbished them a few years ago after I saved after finding them in the trash)

A bit Brutalist but great color combo and "almost minimalism" happening here...of course based on the original.

Beautiful!
Sorry, but I strongly disagree. That '33' looks like a bloody Christmas decoration - I own nice examples of the originals including an FM3 (but not their wooden case), the appearance of which I adore to this day even if the performance is dated (well, they were designed sixty years ago).

The Artera pre and Stereo power amp are so good, I really wonder why they've done this. No doubt I'll get to see a set in the flesh when they're available.

I don't much like the looks of the 33, or 44 for that matter. The 22 and 34 are much nicer, while the FM4 layout is probably a better fit for a modern preamp/streamer with a small display. The 303 seems made to be hidden in a cabinet.

I remember seeing the first 33/303 combination when everything was big and "silver", and if you really wanted something posh it should be black and have rackmount "ears" (for which racks that would be still is a mystery). Especially the 33 looked like toy-ish to me.

Meanwhile I do own a 33/303 combination and I just love them, still exceptional quality and I love the unassuming look that gives you that "whoa, wait" kind of feeling when you try lift it up.

The new ones look kinda nice to me but they are totally not "the same thing".

I could see a point for a 405 shaped (303 size but sideways on) modern design with Class D modules and smps supply inside. The 303 was originally designed to be hidden away and the 33/FM2 or 3 made to be inset into a cabinet cut-out or placed in the tasteful teak sleeve they used to make.

I remember how small and insignificant they looked in my youth when far eastern made 'bling' was all the rage. The Quads kind-of sat to one side all but forgotten at the time.

I like it - except for the excess concentration of orange display and illuminated buttons.

'Tis the 34 design that works best for me though.

If I were to buy a Quad power amplifier, I'd want one that's served with current dumpling.

currant dumpling ?

Will these new devices also be equally 'service friendly' and can they be opened up just using a single flat-head screwdriver ?
