thanksThey have 2.6 ms latency XLR and 2.1 ms latency Coax according to Neumann specs so nothing much to care about.

I just got a pair. I listen at 11 feet (about 3.5 meters I take it).…but usable up to 6 meters as per the Neumann website. Again, listening for pleasure in your living room is different than listening critically in mixing/mastering. Every speaker that is used at a distance will have more room sound and less direct sound the further away you are from the speakers. Indeed, it is a matter of personal preference whether one would like the KH 150 for personal listening at further than their “recommended” distance (the recommended distance is for mixing/mastering use and has nothing to do with any recommendation for home use).
This is the last I will discuss the home use case viability as I do believe it’s really distracting from the conversation as a whole. Neumann says it can be used for listening up to 6m and that’s that, regardless of their recommended distance (which is a recommendation for mixing use and not home use). If it wasn’t usable outside their recommendation, they would say so.
How are you liking the soundI just got a pair. I listen at 11 feet (about 3.5 meters I take it).
I got one...and waiting for the second one (Boxing Day sale, 10% off...get 'em before the Canadian $$ sinks further). So I'm using it with other speakers as a stereo pair. How are you liking the sound
Sounds like you appreciate the low distortion, which is partly due to the DSP.Update: second Neumann finally in the house and thank you audio gods.
My OCD quest for a detailed yet smooth speaker (no harshness even when driven loud) with some bass that is deep, rich and not flabby all the while including something called a soundstage that is wide and deep for my room has finally materialized. Imaging: I'm getting that too. Side note: speakers that don't image as well can be entertaining such as my Triangle Comète 40th (the highs are out there in La-La Land and create some air - but I digress), these are better than the Triangles in that regard.
Considering I worked as a dishwasher (1979) on weekends when I was 15 and it took me 3 months to save enough money to buy my first amplifier (Pioneer SX-1080) and another three months to purchase some speakers (Cerwin Vega PD-15), a total expense of $1500 back then, about $6500 in today's Canadian $$, well you can still buy awesome stuff today for about the same $$. * You can spend less and there are a lot of options out there *
These Neumann KH150 monitors, for the performance on offer are value worthy.
I know it's 2025 and lots of money is a lot of money. I resisted spending this much money a long time trying other things in the "recent" meantime.
My system also consists of an RME ADI-2 DAC FS and a computer (Jriver & Audirvana) to result in a way more detailed sounding system than anything I've owned in the past.
Can't say that the measurements swayed me one way or another except to say that someone (Amir) evaluated and stated it was a great speaker that sounded good with good bass response. That got my attention, I studied the results and graphs and now here I am.

Could be. It's also the warm bass (if I can call it that), the low noise floor (lots of detail) and the overall sound signature that pleases.Sounds like you appreciate the low distortion, which is partly due to the DSP.

I had the Genelec 8030c here until this morning. I returned them.I just wish they were a little bit brighter like Genelec
Then they would have been perfect
I only had the KH120 but the KH150 has the same tweeter so I assume they sound the same in the highs
Great, thanksI had the Genelec 8030c here until this morning. I returned them.
They were great and I EQ'ed as per the ASR review with a bit of bump at 2.5 kHz: they were less veiled with the EQ on (not that they sounded veiled beforehand, but they were even better with the EQ).
I found the Genelecs super well built, I mean you gotta love the aluminium casting shape. The bass was very good in the smaller room.
They were good in my smaller office but lost themselves in the basement system: they are a smaller speaker after all.
I was gonna keep them but my wife said they caused a ringing sensation in her ear. So this morning I put on a few tunes in my office system and let her have a listen. After 20 minutes she could no longer stand it. ??
So I was within the 30 day return date and I had to go and pick up the second Neumann KH150. It all went well.
I am now listening to the Neumann. They sound 'warmer', but that could be due to the better bass response of the speaker, it is bigger. I find them very detailed even on top without them sounding bright. I do use the EQ settings at the rear as recommended by the manufacturer and this has helped.
I could say the Genelecs sounded brighter, but I also want to emphasize that they were not harsh or strident or anything, they were beautiful sounding. I could change the dip switches as required to tone them down a bit at higher frequencies, but I did not.
Now a lot of this may be due to room acoustics, no doubt. I've had speakers in the past I found 'bright' or 'stressful' to listen to: it is what it is.
One of the pairs I used to own my wife and I both disliked.
In this particular case, and they were used in different systems, much to my chagrin, the Neumann will stay (the KH150) and the Genelec (8030c) were returned.
I only had a brief listen to the KH80 DSP (sounded fine) and I never listened to KH120 or any other Genelec models.
I previously owned Yamaha HS7 and HS8 (my KH150 replace my Yamaha HS8).
And I still own a pair of Triangle Comète 40th (keepers).
At this level, it is a very personal decision for each application.
Thank you to those who wanted or needed to read this.
That's a trick question! If I listen near field it would be one thing; but I listen at a bit of a distance.Great, thanks
Which monitor was more detailed and allowed you to hear more things in a track?
Some 4" OC703 at primary reflection points certainly helps with thatThe KH150 may sound warmer due to their mentioned lower bass but also due to their directivity issue which makes their sound power and thus also room response V-shaped having too low level between 600 and 6000 Hz:

For most of us which are casual listeners that doesn't matter as the only thing that matters is that we like its sound but other than nearfield usage it is not recommendable as its quite coloured.
My Genelecs 8330 don't sound any brighter than my Neumann KH150. Due to the shorter listening distance (< 1 m) in the case of the Genelec, I'm tempted to say that the Neumann ( approx. 2.3 m) sound brighter. However, both have a flat frequency response, so you can't go wrong with either of them...I just wish they were a little bit brighter like Genelec

I won‘t pretend that I fully understand this, but wouldn’t the MA-1 automatic monitor alignment correct this? I do not have that dip, measured at my listening position in what is technically far field. The KH150 may sound warmer due to their mentioned lower bass but also due to their directivity issue which makes their sound power and thus also room response V-shaped having too low level between 600 and 6000 Hz:
