Magnepan LRS/LRS+

Just wondering what people think of the feasibility of swing-out type speaker mounts for Magnepan LRS/LRS+ would be, and whether sound quality would suffer vs stock stands or premium stands that have them up inches off the floor (if the speaker height were kept the same). It seems like it could be a potential solution for those who can't always have their LRS/LRS+ 3'+ away from walls all of the time. With this kind of mounting option, one could swing them closer to the walls when not in use. Perhaps something could be whipped up with a trip to Home Depot or Lowes using metal brackets, nuts and bolts, some piping? Thoughts?
